I received my transcript yesterday. It was weird opening up the "officially" sealed envelope. Here, in writing, are my university marks.
Transcripts reveal the cold, hard facts: B in Canadian Women's History, A- in Technical Grammar, D- in Accounting, C- in Linguistics.
Transcripts should read more like novels. They don't reveal the drama of students' lives: the dabbling in alcohol and drugs, the break ups, the family tension, the late-night parties. Though I guess if we were graded on live experiences, we'd all get an A (unless, of course, you're comatose or dead).
